Water is commonly used in manufacturing either as a component of the specific manufactured item or as a process element within a manufacturing process.  In either of the above scenario, the water usually has a unique specification requirement that has to be adhered to, maintained/controlled via water treatment equipment. The main source water is generally derived from the local municipality or well water system so equipment requirements must be developed and implemented accordingly to maintain the required water specification for a repeatable and reliable product or process.
